BRIT Kids at The BRIT School Bursary (Now Closed)

Children living in Croydon and surrounding boroughs may be able to get help with the fees to BRIT Kids, The BRIT Schools Saturday provision. We will be offering bursaries across all our disciplines to young people aged 13 - 18 years old. They must be 13 years and no older than 18 and 4 months at the beginning of November 2023. Our Bursary students' year would run from November - July, meaning a bursary would run for 2 and a half terms in the first year. 30 weeks.

We offer 5% of our total number of sessions to bursary students. Currently this means we can offer 60 sessions for young people for 2023/24. Children  should select a maximum of 3 one hour classes or 2 one and half hour classes on the bursary application form. Please do not select more than this. Refer to the website for course descriptions.

We assess the applications annually in September for a start date of Saturday 4 November.

We are accepting applications from 1st July, with a closing date of the 1st September. This short application time is so that we are able to allocate to children that are ready to start classes on the 4th November 2023.

Please do not commence your lessons if you are relying on the funding to pay for the lessons.

We will be allocating bursaries as 50%, 75% or 100% of the child’s fees. Please note that 100% bursaries are only awarded for households with an income under £20,000.

We are accepting applications from the following postcodes:

CRO, CR2, CR3, CR4, CR5, CR6, CR7, CR8, SE19, SE20, SE25, BR3, BR4, SM6

The child must live at this address.

Bursaries awarded will be reviewed annually. Students must show commitment, and good behavior to be considered to continue with their bursary from one year to the next. Should a child not attend 3 weeks in succession and not advise us, they risk having their place removed and re-allocated.  We ask that they attend at least 10 of a 12 week term, unless there are extenuating circumstances. Should a young person's bursary continue for the next academic year, this would run from September to July. Continuing bursaries will be reviewed annually in June, for September allocation.

If we are able to offer your child a bursary, we will contact you via email. You will then be required to register on our App. We can guide you through this process.
