Film Making (ages 7-18)

Course Overview 

Film Making is a creative, fun and contemporary subject. It enables students to embrace their imagination and enter a place where their dreams and ideas can become reality. The course explores different aspects of filmmaking, from creating trailers and adverts to producing and directing short films.

Film Making students have created music videos, horror films, stop-start animation, mockumentaries and many more. Students will develop their skills planning, filming, directing and producing before finally editing their footage using Final Cut Pro/Adobe Premiere Pro in the Mac suite. We promote teamwork, a particular strength that filmmaking provides, ensuring students gain long-term friendships with their peers. This class works well with Screen Acting.

 

 

Graphic Design & Illustration (7-18)

 

At Brit Kids, we believe in the power of imagination and creativity to inspire young minds. Our passion is to bring colourful worlds to life through captivating graphic design and enchanting illustrations designed specifically for children in this fun and informative class.

During the class we will use traditional design & illustration techniques, that are valued and utilised by artists, illustrators, designers and craftspeople around the world, often in combination with digital tools and technologies to create unique and expressive works of art and design, including pencil drawings, pen & ink mark making, paper cut & collage and typography through to modern digital design work including character design, photography, digital manipulation using Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, pixel art and animation.

The students are free to use their creative imagination and personal interests to create zines, posters, packaging & 3D paper craft, storyboards and screen based animation from the techniques above.
